The tantalizing crossover between Transformers and G.I. Joe has been teased, promising how it will be different from the prior 10 movies

Joe crossover teased with Transformers: Rise of the Beasts proves how the highly-anticipated unification of the franchises can differentiate itself from 10 prior movies. Since the live-action adaptations of Hasbro’s most popular franchises began, 10 movies have been constructed. The Transformers series began in 2007 and spawned four direct sequels in 2009, 2011, 2014, and 2017 respectively.
On the other side of the Hasbro pond has been G.I. Joe, an admittedly much less successful live-action film franchise than Transformers. Regardless, the G.I. Joe series consists of G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra from 2009 and its sequel, G.I. Joe: Retaliation. A third film, Snake Eyes, was released in 2021. Given their long histories and the long-clamored-for possibility of a crossover, the merging of both franchises teased in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts was incredibly exciting.
While the Transformers series is no stranger to space, at least concerning the original animated show and film, the live-action films have been predominantly or entirely set on Earth. Bumblebee arguably had the biggest exploration of space through its Cybertron opening, yet even this was minimal. The G.I. Joe films are in a similar boat in that all three take place on Earth.
How Rise Of The Beasts Already Set Up Transformers & G.I. Joe In Space When concerning how the story of the Transformers and G.I. Joe crossover could be set up, it seems Transformers: Rise of the Beasts has already provided this. At the end of the film, the crossover plot twist was presented by Noah Diaz - Anthony Ramos' character - attending a job interview. At the end of this interview, he is told the company is actually that of G.I.
One of the vehicles that can be seen is a spacecraft, meaning the Joes already have the means to travel off-world in this universe. Also, Rise of the Beasts' main villain was Unicron who is a world-eating, intergalactic Transformer. Unicron was left off for future stories as of the end of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, meaning the seeds have already been planted for the Joes and the Transformers to go on a space-faring mission to defeat Unicron together.
