A number of trains are cancelled or delayed

A number of trains out of Liverpool Lime Street Station are cancelled or delayed as emergency services respond to an incident.

A statement read: "Major disruption between Crewe and Runcorn / Warrington Bank Quay expected until 9.30pm." It's believed the incident is in the Action Bridge area of Cheshire and no trains are able to run while emergency services respond. According to Traffic monitoring service, INRIX, rail replacement buses are in place for London Northwestern services.
