The nightclub and restaurant's last day will be March 31, the International Transgender Day of Visibility
AsiaSF, the iconic SoMa restaurant and nightclub that promotes transgender pride, will close next month, owner and founder Larry Hashbarger announced Monday.
The cabaret’s last day of operation will be March 31, the International Transgender Day of Visibility. Hashbarger told The Examiner he’s encouraging people to make a reservation in the lead-up to “celebrate the legacy of AsiaSF.” Why San Francisco pulled funding for a Tenderloin homeless center The Tenderloin Urban Rest and Sleep Center was a casualty of mid-year budget cuts
Hashbarger and Skip Young started AsiaSF in 1998 as a way to celebrate diversity in The City. Originally, all the performers were Asian.
