Hall credits Scott for “opening” the doors to the PBS TV show, as she was one of the first black women to appear on it.“Elle faced ovarian cancer with courage and honesty, using her platform to educate, advocate, and uplift even while fighting for her life. That kind of strength leaves a mark.”One fan wrote, “I’m so saddened by this. Sleep in peace, Chef. You will be deeply missed.” Another wrote, “She was such a powerful force, and one of the best and most genuine people I have ever known. It’s hard to believe she is gone. We all miss her deeply at ATK.”“I remember meeting her many years ago at The Chew,” Brown wrote. “She was the first black female food stylist I’d ever met. I was in complete awe of her. She pioneered a movement for black and brown girls withChief Content Officer of “America’s Test Kitchen”, Dan Souza, expressed to People just how influential Scott was to the popular TV show. “Friends and colleagues will remember Scott for her ability to create community and provide opportunities for others, both inside and outside of work,” Souza said. “Scott brought warmth and a vibrant spirit to everything she did.
