The N3 Toll Concession says traffic volumes are likely to surge on the national route from Thursday afternoon.The Concession's Thania Dhoogra says it’s going to get busy again between next Friday and Christmas Eve.
Dhoogra says scores of visitors will be heading to the province as the festive season gets into full swing this weekend."Road users are reminded that the presence of law enforcement officials on the N3 toll route has been ramped up for the safety of all road users, as well as control compliance with traffic laws and all applicable regulations.
“Please adhere to the speed limit, stay alert to trending travel conditions, and obey all rules of the road. Ensure that your vehicle is roadworthy before departing on your journey and always take regular breaks to ensure you remain alert while driving." Holidaymakers are expected to start their return journeys on the last day of the year, resulting in high volumes towards Gauteng.
