The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board said traditional jeepneys will be allowed to ply 10 more routes starting September 9

In a statement on Monday, the LTFRB said this means 1,006 jeeps will be allowed to go back on the road.T138 EDSA/North Ave. - Quezon City HallT341 Divisoria - Retiro via JA SantosT397 Baclaran - QI via MabiniThe LTFRB said roadworthy traditional jeepneys which have valid Personal Passenger Insurance Policies may operate the routes without a special permit, but each unit must get a QR code from the LTFRB before resuming operations.

These QR codes can be downloaded from the website of the LTFRB starting Tuesday and these must be printed on a short bond paper and displayed inside the unit. The LTFRB also said health and safety protocol such as the noting of body temperature, wearing of a face shield/mask, gloves, as well as the implementing of proper physical distancing inside the vehicles are also required.
