Storm Agnes is expected to batter the UK from tomorrow, and is set to arrive in the Glasgow area by mid-afternoon, bringing with it severe winds and heavy rainfall.
Storm Agnes will hit Glasgow tomorrow, with the public warned to brace for severe weather conditions.
The Met Office warns that "Storm Agnes [will] bring a spell of strong and disruptive winds through Wednesday afternoon into early Thursday". A second warning for rain is also in place for Wednesday afternoon, with the threat of flooding in some areas. "The strongest winds are expected to affect Northern Ireland, southwest Scotland, west and northwest Wales, Cumbria and Lancashire where some places inland may see gusts of 60 mph and 65-75 mph over hills and around coasts. These are most likely during the second half of Wednesday afternoon and through the evening."
