The Toyota Camry Glorious Edition boasts a matte gray exterior, a sporty body kit, and luxurious interior features.
GAC-Toyota has launched a special edition of the Camry in the Chinese market. The Glorious Edition combines a matte paint with black accents and a generous kit. The sedan is fitted with a hybrid 2.0-liter engine producing 194 hp and 188 Nm. These days, it seems like automakers are running out of ideas (or maybe just running on fumes) when it comes to naming their special edition s.
A prime example is the sportier-looking Toyota Camry Glorious Edition that was launched in China in an effort to reignite interest in the hybrid sedan. The Camry Glorious Edition attempts to justify its ostentatious name with a Matte Gray exterior finish, which, admittedly, is kind of cool. Paired with blacked-out Toyota emblems and Camry lettering on the trunk, it’s giving some “Lexus wannabe” vibes. It also gets a sporty body kit that includes a black grille, a front splitter, a rear diffuser, and a lip spoiler. Completing the look is a set of 19-inch wheels that almost—almost—makes you forget you’re staring at a Camry. Inside, the special edition of the Camry features velvet and genuine leather upholstery, with the 64-color ambient lighting projecting a cool pattern on the dashboard and door cards. For the gadget enthusiasts out there, the car is decently equipped. It packs dual 12.3-inch digital cockpit screens, a head-up display, a panoramic sunroof, and a Dynaudio Premium Sound system. Then there’s the “Boss Key” button, which moves the front passenger seat forward to make more space for the backseat VIP. It sounds like a practical feature for anyone being chauffeured, though naming it the “Boss Key” might be overselling things a bit. Under the hood, the Toyota Camry Glorious Edition features a self-charging hybrid powertrain built around a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The system delivers a combined output of 194 hp (145 kW / 197 PS) and 188 Nm (139 lb-ft) of torque, sent exclusively to the front wheel
