The wildlife center says the township has ordered them to close their doors if they are not able to relocate by Dec. 31. That gives the organization just over two months to reach their goal of raising $300,000 and move to a new area. "This campaign is not merely about acquiring a new location; it's about preserving a legacy of compassion, education, and environmental stewardship," the center."It's about ensuring that our region continues to have a trusted resource to turn to when wildlife is in distress."
West Shore Wildlife Center says it cares for over 2,100 wild animals each year and is home to over a dozen non-releasable ambassador animals. As the only wildlife rehabilitator in York County it also supports surrounding counties that have no wild animal rescues, such as Adams, Dauphin and Cumberland.WPMT would like to send you push notifications about the latest news and weather.
