Residents of a Nottinghamshire town have called for "more variety" for its shops after another big name left the centre. Bulwell is a large market town near Nottingham, but on Thursday, October 5, Wilko will become the latest business to leave the town as the business continues to close all of its stores after falling into administration.
"We have noticed over seven years that everything seems to be disappearing that we grew up with. There's a lot of charity shops and we've now noticed that there's a lot of nail bars, but some people have mentioned that a pet shop would be good. Her husband, Wayne Britton, 39, added: "I think the market could do with a bit of extra help, especially since the pandemic as there's not been as many stalls. It would be nice to have a big market like there used to be.
