Town's 'cleanest and comfy' pub goes up for sale for £305k

At one time it was a Wetherspoon pub

A Long Eaton pub, hidden away on a side street, has been put up for sale with a £305,000 price tag. The Corner Room has been under the ownership of the Pub People Co. since 2021.

Another pub company had recently been set to take over but pulled out when negotiations broke down. The pub, in Howitt Street, was previously the Twitchel Inn run by Hawthorne Leisure, and before that, it was operated by Wetherspoon.After refurbishment, the Corner Room opened with a contemporary cafe-style bar concept in June 2021. The property also has a function room on the first floor with a beamed ceiling and dance floor and staff accommodation.
