The 37-year-old man who drove the truck could face child endangerment charges, San Antonio police said.
A tow truck driver could face a charge of endangering a child after he towed a vehicle with a 5-year-old girl who had fallen asleep inside. According to San Antonio police, the girl's mother told investigators that the incident began when she parked her car and left it running with her emergency lights flashing at an apartment complex in the 7200 block of Blanco Road . Before 11 a.m.
The car was locked, with the ignition off, and there were no signs of anyone inside or around the car, the company said. 'We later learned a little girl was asleep on the floorboard when we first towed the vehicle and was not visible to the driver,' the statement reads. 'As the tow truck arrived at our storage yard just a few minutes later, we were informed that a child had been left in the car.
