It's looking like a tricky task for Mick Schumacher to get himself back on the F1 grid in 2024. ✍️ Formula_Nerds
But the 2021 rookie will be itching to get back behind the wheel and find a new full-time seat at the pinnacle of motorsport. However, such a goal may be too difficult to achieve in this highly competitive period in Formula One.
Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff understands this challenge all too well. The team boss recently spoke to“It’s a difficult situation because the cockpits are taken with us and I would wish for Mick [Schumacher] to get a seat, he would have deserved it. The situation in 2024 is so unfavourable. In 2025, a few doors will open again.”
He continued, “We have to be careful because if we support Mick too much, then there are those who want to make it particularly difficult and then come crawling out of their holes.”Could Schumacher’s future lie at Williams? Whilst speaking to Sky Sports Germany, Wolff seemed to allude that Schumacher may have a chance of driving for Williams. The Mercedes boss said, “We’ll have to wait and see how the pace develops at Williams.”
