Total fire bans have been declared in 16 areas, with the Yorke Peninsula and Eastern Eyre Peninsula issued with catastrophic fire danger ratings.
South Australians have been warned to stay alert today and tomorrow as fire danger ratings hit catastrophic and total fire bans are in place.
The West Coast, Lower Eyre Peninsula, Flinders, Mid North, Mount Lofty Ranges, Riverland, Murrayland, and Upper South East regions have been issued with extreme ratings.The Yorke Peninsula and Eastern Eyre Peninsula have been issued with catastrophic fire danager ratings. Brett Loughlin, Country Fire Service Chief Officer said the public should be mindful of the activities they do over the weekend.
