Friends and family remember Tory Carlon, who died Tuesday in a workplace dispute in Agua Dulce, as a soft-spoken and calming presence.

Carlon, 44, died Tuesday when a colleague walked into Los Angeles County Fire Department Station 81 in Agua Dulce and shot him, according to authorities.
