The brand has enlisted a slew of Canadian companies for the weekly event, which will include panels, prizes and more.
Toronto-based slow-fashion clothing brand Uncle Studios has today announced the launch of a virtual pop-up series to help raise funds for COVID-19 relief.
Called ‘Camp Horizons’, the pop-up will begin on Sunday, May 17, and will include giveaways, panel discussions and events.
As such, 100 per cent of the ticket and care package sales from the event will be donated to CAMH and Nellie’s Administration equally. The care packages are still being finalized however they will include items from the brands involved in the pop-up. As for tickets, the brand is offering a “pay what you can” system. “We understand this is a challenging time so we are taking any monetary donation which will go to COVID-19 support,” the founders tell FASHION.
The pop-up’s events are also a chance for the brand to support creatives who might be struggling in the present circumstances. The series will begin with a graphic tee design contest whereby people are encouraged to submit their designs for consideration. The winner will have their design realized in a T-shirt by Uncle Studios, with 100 per cent of the profits from the sale of the shirt going directly back to the artist.
