Tornadoes caused $2 billion in damage. This is what it looks like from space

New satellite images show the path of destruction a tornado carved as it tore through Dallas last Sunday.

The tornadoes that ripped through the Dallas area will be the costliest tornado outbreak in Texas history, according to the Insurance Council of Texas. The council told CNN affiliate KTVT that the expected loss will be about $2 billion in total.Satellite imagery from Maxar Technologies show the scar one tornado cut into the earth.The debris path is clear in the center of the photograph.
