CLEVELAND, Ohio — The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado touched down in Northwest Ohio, part of a string of severe weather in the northern part of the state that resulted in damaging winds and golf-ball-sized hail.
The tornado was in Ottawa County near Port Clinton and Oak Harbor, and was in the Whites Landing area of Erie and Sandusky counties, according to the Weather Service. There also were unconfirmed reports of other tornadoes in Northwest Ohio,
