Street Talk can reveal Argonaut co-founder Eddie Rigg has set his sights on Sydney for Argonaut’s next leg of growth.

Clifford will be tasked with establishing a base for the investment house in Sydney as it looks to put a rocket up its high-performing natural resources fund and build out institutional stockbroking and research activities.

Argonaut has had a stellar run since launching the natural resources fund in January 2020. The fund took On the investment banking side, key deals include raising a total of $389.4 million for gold tearaways De Grey Mining since 2020 and $62 million for Indonesian-listed Merdeka Copper and Gold to develop Tujuh Bukit Mine in East Java. Argonaut’s also nabbed lead advisory roles on the likes of Gold Road, Capricorn Metals, Northern Star Resources and Genesis Minerals.after five years with Goldman.
