NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah joined the Takeoff with John Clark podcast to break down the upcoming Eagles draft.

One of the most popular positions for Eagles in mock drafts over the last couple of months has been offensive tackle and for good reason. The Eagles’ offensive line dealt with injuries last season and future Hall of Famer Lane Johnson contemplated retirement before deciding to return for his 14th season in 2026.

In his latest mock draft, NFL Network’s top draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah gave the Eagles huge tackle Kadyn Proctor from Alabama with the 23rd pick. Jeremiah was on the latest Takeoff with John Clark podcast to explain the pick and answer other questions about the Eagles’ potential approach next month. “I think getting ahead of it a little bit is something Howie has been really good at,” Jeremiah said. “Identifying their needs, not just where they are today but where they’re going to be in the future. And with Lane coming to the end here, and quite honestly, having some issues staying out there on the field, this gives them some insurance there long-term to be the starting right tackle. “And then also, with Dickerson’s health being what it is, I think this kid would actually be a better guard than he is a tackle. You’ve got someone who could slide in and play guard if you needed him to, while also manning that right tackle position long-term whenever Lane decides to let it go.” Proctor is a massive prospect with impressive athleticism, especially given his size. He has been a popular choice for the Eagles at No. 23 in mock drafts.Jeremiah has been on the media side of things for many years now but was an Eagles scout from 2010-12 during the early years of Roseman’s tenure as general manager. So he at least has a pretty good idea of how Roseman operates.“There’s just some question marks there,” he said. “When healthy and at their peak, it’s one of the best units in the entire league. You can make the case they’re the best unit in the entire league. But they haven’t been able to keep those guys rocking and rolling at 100% at the same time. “Offensive line, defensive line seems to be the direction I could see them going as we’re a month out here. Also, look at the potential on the defensive line. What pass rushers would be there that would be interesting to them? That was a tough one. I know they wanted Phillips back and then the money just kind of got out of control and got away from them there. But that’s another area I could see them addressing there.” When the possibility of a trade for Minnesota edge rusher Jonathan Greenard was brought up to Jeremiah, he said that move for the Eagles “makes all the sense in the world.” So perhaps that’s the way the Eagles try to fill the hole at edge rusher. Jeremiah also answered questions about the tight end position, receivers in the draft who could potentially replace A.J. Brown and some safeties who might make sense. The whole thing is worth a listen as we’re inside a month ahead of the 2026 draft.
