All I wanted to do was speak to my mum."She was discharged after the surgery, but added that in spite of the physical pain,"mentally it's been even harder".
"I can only urge girls to get an early pregnancy scan just to be on the safe side to rule out any kind of potential problems," she concluded."Ectopic pregnancies affect around 1 in 100 pregnancies.According to the NHS, an ectopic pregnancy is an infrequent condition in which an embryo or fertilised egg implants itself outside of the uterus.
An ectopic pregnancy will always be fatal for a fertilised egg, as it cannot remain alive outside the womb. Left untreated, it can cause internal bleeding and infection for the mother.
