Tony Hadley slammed his former bandmates for appearing on BBC2’s Kemps: All TrueHadley said he’d rather watch Broadchurch than watch the documentary by the Kemp brothers, picturedEx-frontman Tony, 60, who quit Ballet in 2017 after a comeback in 2009, said he’d rather watch Broadchurch than the documentary.“They want me back for good but it ain’t going to happen. I’d rather be happy on my own than be in that band again.
“If they want another lead singer, that’s their choice. But if you want to hear those songs sung by the original singer then you can only really see one bloke — and that’s me.” But Tony, who sang Spandau hit Chant No1 and is taking part in drive-in concerts this month, said of the ad: “It’s embarrassing. I posted a social media disclaimer saying, ‘This was nothing to do with me’.
