Un análisis preliminar estima que entre 10 y 20 toneladas de peces murieron en el río Piracicaba, dijo la fiscalía de Sao Paulo en un comunicado de prensa.
“Esta triste catástrofe medioambiental ha conmovido a todo el mundo por la gravedad y el alcance de los impactos”, dijeron los fiscales, que añadieron que la situación de los pescadores y la comunidad local también es “muy preocupante”. Los fiscales han solicitado un informe completo sobre las condiciones del agua y están a la espera de más información técnica antes de dar los siguientes pasos en relación con la responsabilidad civil y penal.
