The Cougars got a battle Tuesday before prevailing over Klein Collins in four sets.

After three ties to start the fourth set, the Tigers went on a 12-6 run to take a 16-10 lead. But the Cougars regrouped after a timeout, responding with a 10-4 run to tie it at 20. “It's always stressful,” Williams said. “We haven’t been to five this year yet, so we really needed to finish in that fourth set. Started off a little sloppy, but the girls were able to pull through.”

Tomball maintains its spot atop the district standings followed by Klein Collins, Klein Oak, and Tomball Memorial. The Cougars are looking to clinch their 16th straight playoff appearance going back to 2007.
