Marvel stuntman James Young opens up about Tom Holland's SpiderMan audition for CaptainAmericaCivilWar and how it stunned executives. 'All you heard was jaws… I got goosebumps and tears in my eyes.'
Marvel stuntman James Young recently opened up and recounted how the experience of watching Tom Holland audition for Captain America: Civil War left Marvel Studios executives stunned. The actor has played the role of Peter Parker ever since the third Captain America movie debuted in theaters in 2016. More recently, he can be seen in his own third solo outing with the debut of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
They had the actors come in in the underwear Spider-Man suit, the one he wears in the first movie. They did this whole sequence of ‘Hey that shield doesn’t obey the laws of physics at all,’ they did the whole thing… Chris came in on his day off. Tom goes ‘Hey Joe, would you mind if I take my own entrance?’ and I just feel Kevin, Joe, and all of them go ‘Huh?’ to me, and Tom Holland proceeds to skip and throw the most perfect side flip.
