With Venom: The Last Dance bringing Eddie Brock’s story to a close, Tom Hardy expresses no regrets in concluding the Marvel film series.
Venom: The Last Dance, from the title itself, will serve as the character’s Marvel swan song. Set to hit cinemas on Friday, October 25, the upcoming feature will see the return of Hardy as both Eddie and the titular symbiote.ScreenRant
“Everything in the kitchen sink that we wanted time allocated in this movie. This is the purest version of Kelly and I together, like giving offering, a harvest of optionality within the wheelhouse of a character, and the aperture that we chose to come through in the tone we chose to set and to build on. We’re encouraging ourselves to continue down that pathway because you can always tone something down, but it’s very hard to come in big and show, ‘Okay, let’s take some risks here.
He continued, “In that aspect, and everything that you see in The Last Dance is from Kelly’s imagination, and mine too. But there’s nothing left out. It’s surgically chosen and delivered, like right down to the shots. It’s a full reflection of the internal process of somebody who deeply cares about the work. And let me also stress that this is her first movie , and at this level, your first job, the first day, technically, symbolically speaking, it’s mind-blowing.
In addition to Hardy, the third Venom feature also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach, and Stephen Graham.“Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie’s last dance,” the synopsis reads.
