.TomBrady fined $11,000 for attempting to kick AtlantaFalcons defensive lineman
The incident occurred when both men were getting up after Jarrett tackled Brady. The Tampa quarterback, who has an estimated net worth of $250 million, attempted to kick Jarrett after the lineman stood up but did not make contact, video footage appeared to show.
Jarrett was called out on the field for roughing the passer, but Brady's fine came later in the week. He has avoided a fine for that attempt, however.
Jarrett has been fined $15,000 for his roughing offense, which is the standard fine for a first offense. Second offenses are $20,000. Fines for kicking are $11,139 for a first offense and $16,444 for a second, according to ESPN. Kansas City Chief defensive end Chris Jones was also fined $15,000 for a roughing offense this week.
Brady was fined for a similar incident in 2013, when he was fined $10,000 by the league for kicking the groin of Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed during the AFC Championship Game. He had not been fined for an NFL offense since.Tampa Bay players and New Orleans Saints players were also ejected from a game earlier this season after a fight broke out on the field.
