This is the second time the driver has been charged with using an electronic device in attempt to avoid tolls, according to the Port Authority.
A New Jersey man faces charges he installed a license plate flipping device to avoid paying tolls on the George Washington Bridge last week.
Jimenez faces several charges, including of theft of service, tampering with public records, possession of burglar’s tools and possession of fraudulent documents. This wasn’t the first time Jimenez was arrested for allegedly evading tolls. In February, he was arrested after police said they caught him using a remote-controlled electronic curtain to cover his license plate.
