UMNO deputy president Mohamad Hasan has told Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin that the party, which has the largest bloc of MPs in Perikatan Nasional, has been “unfairly” sidelined in the cabinet appointments, and warned it could lead to a split in the coalition. Umno is the largest party in terms of number of seats in parliament in the ruling Perikatan Nasional coalition, which is also made up of Bersatu, PAS, MIC and MCA and allied with Gabungan Parti Sarawak.
