'The child had already been removed from the pool prior to emergency personnel arriving, and life-saving measures had been initiated on the child.
Tragically, the child was pronounced deceased at the hospital,' police said in a statement. A preliminary investigation revealed that the child had walked away from his home on Wheatland Avenue without the family realizing, according to police. Shortly after that, the child made his way onto the nearby property where the pool was located. Police said the incident is still under investigation.
