A toddler, less than two-years-old, was somehow able to activate contact with OnStar while left alone in a vehicle at the Golden Gate Plaza Sept. 29. Responding officers peered through the vehicle’s heavily tinted windows and saw the boy staring at them while standing on the passenger’s seat. The child’s mother quickly returned to the vehicle.

Based on the time OnStar contacted police, it was believed the child was left alone in the vehicle for at least five minutes. The Cleveland woman, 24, was charged with theft, possession of criminal tools and child endangerment.A man reported Sept. 30 that he heard a popping sound and then discovered his front window had been broken.
