It’s almost March and February has felt, to me at least, like a blur. Such a strange month. I think I might even be allergic to it. In any case, it’s a lazy Sunday and I’m feeling rather lazy myself so I’m going to short-change you on the preamble and point you to a couple other of my recent pieces.

The root of this word is believed to be tied to the concept of smiting or striking, reflecting the blacksmith's primary activity of hammering metal into shape. Thus, the term"smith" has always been closely associated with craftsmanship and the art of metalworking, dating back to a time when the ability to work metal was a highly valued and essential skill in many societies.
