Another lazy Sunday awaits, and another Wordle is here ready for us to solve. It’s the last Sunday of October as 2025 races by before our eyes. Time surely does fly when you’re solving puzzles. If you need help with today’s Wordle, I have an extra hint and an extra clue below.
I also have the answer and a bit of analysis, so read on, dearest Wordlers. Read on and have a lovely autumn Sunday!Wordle is a daily word puzzle game where your goal is to guess a hidden five-letter word in six tries or fewer. After each guess, the game gives feedback to help you get closer to the answer:Use these clues to narrow down your guesses. Every day brings a new word, and everyone around the world is trying to solve the same puzzle. Some Wordlers also play Competitive Wordle against friends, family, the Wordle Bot or even against me, your humble narrator. See rules for Competitive Wordle toward the end of this post.Every day I check Wordle Bot to help analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordle score with Wordle Bot SPARE was a pretty good opening guess, leaving me with one yellow box and just 85 remaining possible solutions. From here, POINT cut that number down to just 8. I thought PULPY might be the answer, but while it gave me three more yellow boxes, there was still one word remaining: PLUMP for the win!Once again, a tie and once again the Bot and I each guessed in four. That means we each get a total of zero points today, and our October scores remain:Guessing in 1 is worth 3 points; guessing in 2 is worth 2 points; guessing in 3 is worth 1 point; guessing in 4 is worth 0 points; guessing in 5 is -1 points; guessing in 6 is -2 points and missing the Wordle is -3 points. If you beat your opponent you get 1 point. If you tie, you get 0 points. And if you lose to your opponent, you get -1 point. Add it up to get your score. Keep a daily running score or just play for a new score each day.likely originated in the early 16th century, probably imitative in nature—suggesting the sound or appearance of something full or rounded. It may be related to Middle Dutch. The sense of “full and rounded in form” evolved from the idea of something heavy or swollen, while the verb “to plump down” came from the same root, emphasizing weight and impact.
