– Gas prices in San Antonio reached an all-time high on Thursday for the first time since 2008. On Friday, a new record — $3.98.
San Antonio is still in the increasingly rare category of below $4 gas, but that’s little consolation for drivers who are feeling stretched at the pump. Thursday also marked a new record high for average gas prices across the state, with Texas breaking $4 a gallon for the first time ever. The average creeped up nearly a penny on Friday.California consistently has the highest average of any state, currently at $5.721 a gallon. On Friday Kansas had the lowest average at $3.823.Current San Antonio gas prices:
Friday marked another record-breaking day for gas and diesel prices in San Antonio. Regular unleaded gas now averages $3.986 per gallon — a jump of a little over a penny from Thursday. Diesel jumped another eight cents Friday to $4.964 after an increase of nearly 26 cents on Thursday.
