Today’s 2020 election polls: Joe Biden is close to President Trump in traditionally conservative states including Texas, Georgia and Iowa that went to the president by significant margins in 2016
in Iowa—but each state is winner-take-all, meaning Biden’s election chances won’t improve unless he’s able to get over the hump in a red state.
Instead, election experts say Biden’s path to the White House runs through Rust Belt states like Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan, and a newof all three states from the University of Wisconsin-Madison shows Biden ahead by 8 points in Michigan , and 5 points in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania A separate Texas poll conducted by Quinnipiac University found Biden trailing by a similar 5 point margin and ahead by just one point in Ohio .
