Despite his cancer battle, The Tennessean reported that Keith has kept a public profile, and was even inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame last November. The paper said he also played the Heroes Honor Festival in Daytona May 27-28. Keith is one of the biggest country music stars of the current era with 21 studio albums and more than 30 million records sold. He has had 20 singles reach number-one on the Billboard charts.
