The massive, two-year, $190.7 billion plan will cut income and business taxes, expand the state’s school voucher program and strip away most of the State Board of Education’s power.
· Empower the Ohio State University Board of Trustees to make its own decision on whether to allow its student members to have voting authority. The bill would have prohibited student members from having voting rights.
DeWine has touted the budget’s focus on jobs and economic development, education, mental health, nursing homecare, and various forms of aid for mothers and children.
