Star Trek: Picard season 3's Frontier Day brought together the finest ships in Starfleet, and they're all together in this stunning VFX shot.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Star Trek: Picard season 3's fleet of starships, including the USS Enterprise-D and the USS Titan-A, come together in this amazing VFX shot. Picard season 3 culminated in Frontier Day, which was intended to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Starfleet but became a disaster when the Borg assimilated every Starfleet Officer under the age of 25.
On Twitter/X, Star Trek: Picard season 3 visual effects artist Rommel S. Calderon shared his photo of the models of the various Starfleet ships at Frontier Day assembled in rows alongside Spacedock. Rommel notes this includes the beloved USS Enterprise-D and the USS Titan-A, and the Neo-Constitution Class starship closest to the camera bears the markings NCC-1701-G, which makes it the USS Enterprise-G.
RommelVFX's shot calls back to how impressive the Frontier Day battle was in Star Trek: Picard season 3's final two episodes, "Vox" and "The Last Generation." Both were shown as a movie on IMAX screens, and the results were eye-poppingly impressive.
Star Trek: Picard season 3 was the perfect opportunity to call back to the legacy of Starfleet while also setting up the next step in the 25th century, which will hopefully continue in Picard's proposed spinoff series, Star Trek: Legacy, if it happens.
