If you're travelling to Singapore, you can use your TNG eWallet to pay at shops and even hawker stalls that display the NETS QR or SGQR code. TNG eWallet is now accepted at over 130,000 touchpoints in Singapore.

boasts having the largest merchant network for a Malaysian eWallet in Singapore, enabling Malaysians to go truly cashless when travelling to the island republic. Touch ‘n Go eWallet now is accepted at over 130,000 touchpoints throughout Singapore., Touch ‘n Go eWallet users can now scan and pay at any shops or even local kopitiam and hawkers that display the NETS QR code via the NETS payment terminals or SGQR.

The cross-border QR linkage enables a seamless QR transaction and users will be able to view the live foreign exchange rates displayed in the eWallet app before making a payment. To make a payment, just launch TNG eWallet, tap on Scan and then scan the NETS QR or SGQR code. For merchants that accept Alipay+, you can tap on Pay from the TNG eWallet home screen, swipe up, select Singapore and then show the Alipay+ QR code to the merchant.

TNG Digital Chief Executive Officer Alan Ni said, “This new seamless and secure transaction feature further expands our eWallet ecosystem. As a company that emphasises addressing customers’ needs, we are excited that this feature broadens cashless payment acceptance for our users. Today, Malaysians travelling to Singapore can have peace of mind as they enjoy the convenience of making cashless payments, knowing the foreign exchange rate upfront, and tracking their expenses instantly”.

If you’re travelling to China, TNG Digital has also revealed that Touch ‘n Go eWallet is now accepted by over in Mainland China using the Alipay+ QR code. However, take note that the feature may not work with smaller merchants that use their personal Alipay QR codes as well as legacy Alipay merchants.
