Cape Town City head coach Erik Tinkler has revealed noticed the frustration on the faces of the Kaizer Chiefs players before halftime.
Khanyiso Mayo's fourth goal of the DStv Premiership season guided the Citizens to a 1-0 victory at the FNB Stadium."What was important in the first half was to contain them, they are a team that is built on speed, so very important today that we didn't give them those spaces in behind and I thought we did that very well in the first-half, playing with really a back-five," Tinkler told SuperSport after the game.
"We knew the longer the half went on, the more frustrated they would grow and we would stand a greater chance in the second-half because they are a team with a speed and you try to deal with the speed and fatigue was gonna set in quicker, considering that we played three days ago. So ja, plan worked well," he said.
