Chalamet has put blood, sweat, and tears not only into the production of"Marty Supreme," but also into the film's global marketing. For the past six months, the newly turned 30-year-old has been everywhere promoting the ping pong biopic.
He's been interviewed by almost every publication, gone viral with his stunts, and even made a fashion statement by turning"Marty Supreme" jackets into the hottest clothing item to acquire for a few months. At the end of 2025, right when he turned 30, Chalamet was the heavy favorite to win Best Actor and achieve his dream of joining the legends he wants to be like. But as awards season has gone on, Chalamet hasn't only faltered as a favorite, but he's fallen into second place heading into Sunday.While Chalamet came into Sunday as an underdog, it's only gotten worse for the actor as the hours count down to the big show. Per Kalshi, the prediction website, Chalamet entered the big day with a 35% to win Best Actor, with Jordan holding at 55%. But with each hour, those odds for Chalamet are plummeting, as they now sit at 29% and are lowering at the time of the writing of this article. Although Chalamet still has a chance to win the Oscar, it's setting up for a big night for Jordan and Sinners, who could break the record for most Academy Awards in a single night.
