Timeline released of police investigation into Oceanside mother's disappearance

The search for a missing woman from Oceanside, who was last seen at a casino before her vehicle was found on Palomar Mountain, has stretched past a week. Here’s a timeline of Oceanside police’s investigation.

After several days of searching for nurse and mother Angelica Brophy, searchers have some answers, but the woman’s whereabouts are still unknown. Oceanside police said Tuesday they do not believe foul play is involved.

NBC 7’s Dave Summers has more. The search for a missing woman from Oceanside, who was last seen at a casino before her vehicle was found on Palomar Mountain, has stretched past a week.has left her family in limbo but not giving up hope that she will be located.

Meanwhile, investigators are searching for clues to her whereabouts in the rugged terrain, butNo foul play suspected as search for missing mother continues on Palomar Mountain: Police Oceanside police released a timeline of Angelica Brophy's disappearance during a press conference on Tuesday evening. Here are the facts:Detectives contacted Brophy’s cell phone carrier and “pinged” her phone. The ping was unable to provide any information because Brophy’s phone was either turned off or its battery was dead.

Investigators determined her last known location was Harrah’s Resort in Valley Center on July 6 at about 3:30 pm. : Brophy’s vehicle was found in the parking lot of Palomar Mountain State Park. She was not with her vehicle. Oceanside police determined Brophy entered the park on her own at about 4:20 p.m. on July 6.

Officers with the California State Parks, supported by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department’s Search and Rescue team, began searching for Brophy. Search and Rescue operations were conducted from 7 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.Search and rescue continued for a third day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The search-and-rescue teams were unable to locate Brophy. Dive team members with California State Parks responded to Palomar Mountain State Park to search Doane Pond in the park. The search was unsuccessful.

Search and rescue continued searching the area but without any success.

"At this time, we have no evidence of foul play. However, we are treating this case as an open investigation until Ms. Brophy is located," OPD Chief Taurino Valdovinos said during the press conference. If you have any information about Angelica Brophy’s disappearance, Oceanside Police ask you to give them a call at 435-4900. The family is also searching for anyone with video footage from Monday, July 6 from 2 to 6 p.m. See below for more information.
