South Carolina SenatorTimScott scolded Democrats for their definitions of truth and adversity, particularly chastising the White House for its spin concerning Afghanistan and the economy.
Scott, recounting his experience growing up in a single-parent household, contended political debate should return to the"bedrock" truth that America is the"solution," not the"problem."
"President Biden says Afghanistan was a good withdrawal," he said."We know that when you lose 13 American soldiers and you leave thousands of Americans stranded, there is an absence of truth. But they want us to believe what they say in spite of what we see."are a result of the Russia-Ukraine situation. But 60% of the increase in the cost of our fuel happened before Thanksgiving last year.
Quoting Romans 8:31, Scott repeated the presence of adversity did not mean the absence of God, predicting"good times were coming." Scott's appearance at the Faith and Freedom Coalition conference comes days after he spoke at an Iowa Republican regional party reception with Sen. Joni Ernst , stoking 2024 presidential campaign speculation.
