Sen. Tim Scott warned House Republican members that their infighting could cost them the 2024 election.

Scott appeared on America Right Now Saturday to advise the House in its attempt to elect a new speaker roughly 20 days since it ousted Rep. Kevin McCarthy . The senator is currently running for the Republican Party's nomination for president and expressed his concern on the effect an ineffective House could have on the chances of any Republican beating President Joe Biden."The road to socialism runs right through a divided Republican Party.

House Republicans have already gone through two speaker nominees, Rep. Steve Scalise , who withdrew after he recognized he couldn't rally 214 votes due to his cancer diagnosis, and Rep. Jim Jordan , who lost three elections. There is no current speaker nominee, and Rep. Patrick McHenry is left serving as the speaker pro tempore.

Reps. Kevin Hern , Austin Scott , Byron Donalds , Pete Sessions , Mike Johnson , Jack Bergman , and House Majority Whip Tom Emmer are asking the conference to consider them to be the next speaker. McCarthy has endorsed Emmer."Let’s get our act together because the last two years under Joe Biden devastated families across this country," Scott said."The last two years under Joe Biden led to the death of 13 American soldiers because of a terrible withdrawal of Afghanistan.

Scott is facing off against former President Donald Trump, former Vice President Mike Pence, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, former governor of New Jersey Chris Christie, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, Gov. Doug Burgum , Gov. Ron DeSantis , Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, political commentator Larry Elder, businessman Perry Johnson, and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy in the race to win the GOP presidential nomination.
