The new documentary “TikTok Star Murders” tells the disturbing story of the murder case involving TikTok stars Ali and Ana Abulaban. The 90-minute Peacock movie came out days before Ali Abulaban's sentencing after he was convicted of first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of his wife and her friend, Rayburn Cardenas Barron. Ali faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.
In October 2021, Ali and Ana were no longer living together in their shared apartment in San Diego's East Village neighborhood, according to the documentary and court testimony in Ali's murder trial. On Oct. 25 of that year, Ali visited the apartment while Ana was not home and vandalized the unit, according to court testimony reported by NBC San Diego. He also set up his daughter's tablet device to function as a listening device and placed it behind a bed, the station reported.
