The recently passed $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill included a ban on TikTok on all state-issued government employees' devices. A bill passed on Tuesday banned TikTok from all House of Representatives devices.
The main concern about TikTok from lawmakers is that its parent company, ByteDance, could give users' data to the Chinese government or could push Chinese propaganda into users' feeds.
