The second iteration of the iconic shade is like its big sister
It's no wonder, then, talk of a Velvet Teddy 2.0 sent TikTok's tail into a spin. One viral video from the brand highlighted that yes, Velvet Teddy does indeed have a big sister. The shade, Teddy 2.0, is part of the newer Powder Kiss range and has a warmer undertone. Keen to see the new shade compared against the original? If you're yet to try the Powder Kiss range, consider this your sign.
While Velvet Teddy is MAC's original matte formula, Powder Kiss is a far more powdery matte. It feels, ahem,on the lips, and lends intense colour in one sweep. The Powder Kiss formula is more of a flat matte; the original Matte formula is more far luminous. As for the colour difference, Teddy 2.0 is markedly warmer and veers more into the beige side of nude, rather than pink .lipliner, for the ultimate 90s lip. Thank you, MAC, and we're sorry for not noticing you sooner, Teddy 2.0.
