During a post-match interview for the Tomorrow Golf League (TGL), reporter Claire Rogers asked Tiger Woods about his large Starbucks cup, leading to the revelation that he enjoys a Frappuccino with three shots of espresso. Woods' response sparked amusement among fans, with some commenting on his seemingly defensive reaction.
Tiger Woods revealed his unique caffeine concoction after a reporter noticed him carrying a giant plastic Starbucks cup.
“That coffee you brought in, was it a Frappuccino?” she asked. “What were you drinking on your way in today?”Woods added the espresso shots to what appeared to be a Venti-sized Frappuccino, a blended ice drink that usually contains coffee, ice, flavoring and whipped cream. It is unclear what flavor Frappuccino Woods chose.
Another pointed to Woods’ response, alluding to the idea that he might have been embarrassed about his drink choice. “The way he says three shots was verrrrry defensive,” one viewer joked. As for TGL, the new golf league was launched by Woods and Rory McIlroy earlier this month. Monday night’s match saw Woods’ team — alongside teammates Tom Kim, Max Homa and Kevin Kisner — defeat McIlroy, 35, and his Boston Common Golf teammates Keegan Bradley, Hideki Matsuyama and Adam Scott 4-3 in overtime.
