Golf pro Tiger Woods has been charged with a DUI after a rollover car crash in Jupiter Island, Florida. No injuries were reported.
Tiger Woods has been arrested on DUI charges after a rollover car crash Friday afternoon on Jupiter Island, Florida, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. No one was injured in the collision.
In a press conference, Sheriff John Budensiek said the crash occurred when Woods tried to overtake a pressure-cleaner truck at a high speed on a small two-lane road. The sheriff added that Woods crawled out the passenger door after the crashhis car on its side. Officers who responded at the scene apparently reported he appeared “lethargic” and showed “signs of impairment.” Woods was taken to jail after he passed an alcohol Breathalyzer test but allegedly refused a urine analysis, which would have shown if he’d consumed any drugs. Budensiek said the police believe the athlete was on “some type of medication or drug” and said he was being “cooperative” but “not trying to incriminate himself.” No drugs or medication were found in the vehicle, Budensiek said.
