The new programme will actually be fronted by Joe himself, and will explore the claims put forward in Tiger King that animal rights activist Carole was involved in the disappearance of her husband. Henry Schleiff, Group President ID, Travel Channel, American Heroes Channel and Destination America revealed: ‘Viewers are understandably riveted by Netflix’s Tiger King, but the millions of true crime fans around the world were left wanting more.
‘ID is the perfect place to find the inevitable sequel to this drama – featuring a missing husband, a hit man, and the illegal business of exotic animals.‘It’s time to let the cat out of the bag and address the lingering questions that viewers demand be answered.’Don Lewis went missing in 1997, and was declared legally dead five years later.
But what will they discover? Currently, Joe Exotic – real name Joseph Maldanado-Passage – is currently serving a 22-year jail sentence for various counts of animal abuse and the murder-for-hire of his rival Carole.
